Midea Air Conditioning Debuts at Intersolar Europe 2025

At Intersolar Europe 2025, Midea presented the theme "Green Vision, Blue Future," firmly advancing its green decarbonization strategy. Midea showcased impressive MHELIOS Whole-Home Smart Energy Management System and a series of innovative green home appliances, helping global consumers—particularly those in Europe—actively respond to new energy transition policies and ushering in a sustainable, intelligent energy management era.

MHELIOS: The Fusion of Whole-Home Intelligence and Energy Management

The MHELIOS system leverages innovative AIoT and AI + EMS smart energy management technologies to better connect the entire home appliance ecosystem.

At the exhibition, visitors could clearly see how this system deeply integrates with the Breezeless E air conditioner, “Double A-rated” ECO Master refrigerator, and Vita Solar water heater.

Through intelligent control, MHELIOS optimizes the breezeless air conditioner's operation based on PV generation, maximizing solar energy utilization while ensuring comfort and significantly improving energy efficiency.

Simultaneously, the system intelligently prioritizes powering charging wall box and water heater during off-peak and green energy periods, skillfully leveraging dynamic electricity tariff differentials to further reduce costs.

This cross-category, multi-device intelligent synergy not only breaks through traditional single-device management limitations but also creates an organic whole-home smart living scenario where every appliance becomes an active participant and direct beneficiary of energy management.

Hero Products: Creating a Whole-Home Smart Living Showcase

Midea showcased a series of innovative green appliances and HVAC products that expand possibilities for whole-home smart living. The Breezeless E split air conditioner features 7,928 hourglass-shaped holes on its deflector to disperse and soften cold air, delivering coolness without a direct breeze. Integrated with an AI energy-saving algorithm that adapts to environmental changes, it eliminates manual adjustments, demonstrating Midea's focus on comfort and efficiency.

The Console air conditioner boasts dual airflow outlets for increased output, and its wall-mounted design makes it ideal for replacing radiators, providing year-round rapid cooling and heating.

The PortaSplit is a plug-and-play split air conditioner requiring no fixed installation yet delivering exceptional cooling performance. This portable unit matches traditional split AC efficiency, cooling a room in just 15 minutes. Based on typical German weather patterns, estimated seasonal operating costs are as low as €26 monthly.

The Vita Solar water heater adopts AC-DC dual-mode technology, directly connecting to photovoltaics in DC mode to maximize solar power and reduce conventional electricity consumption. When sunlight is insufficient, it switches to AC mode, ensuring an uninterrupted hot water supply.

Based on the annual sunlight hours in Europe, taking the German market as an example, a 30-liter water heater receives an actual yearly power generation of 700.5 kWh, resulting in annual electricity cost savings of €280.

The industry's first “double A-rated” refrigerator - ECO Master also drew attention. Featuring auto start-stop technology that intelligently controls refrigerant flow based on compressor operation, it achieves efficient cooling and food preservation while helping users reduce energy costs. In Germany, the MDRB521MGA02 model consumes just 0.3096 kWh/24h, translating to a mere €2.96 in monthly electricity costs.

Smart Control: Redefining Energy Storage Value Through Software

Unlike traditional storage systems emphasizing hardware performance, MHELIOS innovatively focuses on software-enabled smart control. Its advanced AI + EMS system acts as an astute energy butler, monitoring dynamic electricity prices in real-time, analyzing household consumption patterns, and intelligently allocating energy across appliances.

During peak pricing, it prioritizes using stored energy for critical devices (e.g., air conditioners, refrigerators) while deferring non-essential operations (e.g., EV charging), keeping household electricity costs optimal. Compared to gateway + software + hardware EMS solutions, MHELIOS stands out with its integrated inverter-EMS design, eliminating extra components for true plug-and-play convenience—configurable via mobile app.

Additionally, remote diagnostics and OTA ensure software capabilities remain industry-leading, providing continuously optimized smart support for home energy management.

As dynamic tariff becomes widespread, MHELIOS brings revolutionary changes to home energy management. Estimates show a German family of five using MHELIOS could save up to €1,866 annually. More innovatively, MHELIOS transforms home energy devices into income-generating assets.

In the Netherlands, homes with a 10 kW inverter and 10 kWh battery system can connect to virtual power plants (VPPs) via MHELIOS for grid-balancing services, earning up to €1,211 in additional annual income—quickly recouping investments. This energy-saving and revenue-generating model enhances home energy economics while paving a sustainable green living path.

Midea's impressive showcase at Intersolar Europe 2025 fully demonstrates its continuous innovation in green, low-carbon solutions. Centered on MHELIOS, Midea has built a smart, interconnected ecosystem covering photovoltaics, energy storage, HVAC systems, refrigerators, water heaters, and more. Through software-defined intelligent control and synergies, Midea is leading the smart home industry into a more energy-efficient, comfortable, and economical new era, creating truly sustainable smart living solutions for global consumers.
